For all of my life people have almost never got the pronunciation of my last name right. I mean I don't have a long, difficult last name with many syllables. Just four letters. Its not that hard to fuck up. It's Dage, NOT:
-DAH-GEY: For the people sticking to my non-existent hispanic roots
-DAH-HEY: For the people that are bad at spanish, and still sticking to my non-existent hispanic roots
-DAY-GEH
-DAH-JAY
-DOH-SH
It sounds exactly the way it sounds. Its simple. Hell, every name that I have is four letters long. I guess its just political correctness gone awry. Maybe people just can't accept a simple name as just a simple name.
