One of the little pleasures of being back home is that I can take pictures of people getting busted within the safety of a car. It's a more involved version of the license plate game for the most part. In San Francisco I can't be the jackass that takes pictures of people in their not-s0-finest moments; because hell, I draw the line there when it comes to being tacky. I can do tacky pretty well too if I do say so myself.
But yeah, on to something else. Today I went to a record show, which is pretty much a record swap meet that isn't extremely cheap. But I did get a Devo picture disk (eeeeee! of their 'Are We Not Men' album) and a Queers album ( 'Love Songs for the Retarded') for pretty cheap though. Then I saw The Runaways, and it was pretty good. I'm not going to lie, I kind of discounted it a little because that chick from Twilight was in it, but she did decent. She scowled and looked disturbed like she did in all her performances and it suited the role. Dakota Fanning did really well, better than expected in fact. One thing I didn't like is that they did overly artsy shots just for the sake of being artsy. True shots with meaning are ones that you really have to examine and pull apart, and perhaps watch over again, just to absorb everything. They don't scream "ARTSY SHOT THAT REALLY HAS LITTLE TO NOTHING TO DO WITH THE PLOT!". <---(I'm not too sure whether that punctuation is right or not there, but it looks better that way)
But I ain't no cinema major, so why should I be talking? Despite that it was a good movie.

Good to know, about the movie. I've been wondering a little about that, with the same basic generalized ideas that you had to begin with. Your punctuation is correct, by the way. Especially with the exclamation point in there. Though the period would still be on the outside of the quotes without it. It would only be on the inside if it were a complete and separate sentence inside the quotes. However, if you are listing things with commas, the commas would be on the inside like this: Ask students to write a "who," "what," "when," and "why" sentence for each problem. If I were to put this entire sentence in quotes it would look like this: "Ask students to write a 'who,' 'what,' 'when,' and 'why' question for each problem." (with the period on the inside because it's a complete sentence). <-- period on outside of parentheses (the sentence is continuing from before the colon)-- Sorry, I do a little copy editing. And by a little I mean a shit load. Although if you have learned or later learn otherwise, please correct me. I'd hate to have been doing this wrong all along.
Sorry about the whole super-lengthy grammar lesson there. LOVE COUSIN MELISSA
